- The Founders Auxiliary Board supports Children’s National Hospital through fundraising initiatives and volunteerism. It proudly continues the 150-year legacy of championing children’s health established by the former Children’s Health Board and The Board of Visitors.
- Following in their founders’ footsteps, the dedicated members of the Founders Auxiliary Board support Children’s National through Annual Grants and Major Gift Programs. Known for support that propels innovative research, champions best practices in pediatric community health and funds critical programs, members also provide strategic insight and support for Children’s National Hospital.
- Through past signature fundraising events, the Founders Auxiliary Board leverages its community presence to support its vision of healthy futures for all children. Historically, both Boards have awarded grants and major gifts to the hospital totaling $22 million. These lasting investments have contributed significantly to clinical excellence and scientific discovery at Children’s National, and will benefit children for generations to come.

I’ve been on several philanthropic boards but nothing like this one. This is an amazing group of bright and energized women who can roll up their sleeves, get to work and accomplish anything we set out to do. I have so much respect and admiration for our dedicated Board who, simply put, make things happen.
